Ingredients:

  • 2 fish fillets (such as tilapia, cod, or any white fish)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare Breading Station:
    • In a shallow bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Place flour in another shallow bowl.
    • Beat the egg in a third shallow bowl.
  3. Coat the Fish:
    • Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
    • Dredge each fillet in flour, shaking off any excess.
    • Dip the floured fillets into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off.
    • Coat the fillets evenly with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the crumbs.
  4. Air Fry the Fish:
    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
    • Place the breaded fish fillets in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overlapping.
    • Spray the tops of the fillets lightly with cooking spray or olive oil.
  5. Cooking:
    • Air fry the fish fillets at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking, until the fish is golden and crispy and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Serve:
    • Once cooked, remove the fish fillets from the air fryer and let them rest for a minute or two.
    • Serve hot with lemon wedges and tartar sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
